A psychological assessment is a tool used to make a proper diagnosis and formulate the appropriate treatment plan. Each one is given based on issues currently being experienced and evaluates multiple aspects of an individual’s functioning. A typical psychological assessment contains a variety of tests, including intelligence (or cognitive), achievement, and personality.

What does the process Entail?
THE PROCESS HAS THREE STAGES:
Initial Session: The first step is a meeting which can take place in person or on a video call. In this meeting I will review your concerns and discuss your background and history.
Testing: After the initial session, testing is scheduled. Depending on the amount of testing, the process can take 4 to 6 hours and may occur over two appointments. In some cases, such as neurocognitive and achievement assessments, extended hours of testing may be necessary.
Results: After testing is completed and scored, I will prepare a report containing the test results, a conceptualization of the problem, and a list of recommendations. Once the report is ready, we will meet for a feedback session to review the results. The final report is normally presented two weeks after the last testing session.
